Privacy Policy

At Local AI, we believe that your data is yours alone. Our fundamental architecture is designed to guarantee absolute privacy by running AI models entirely locally on your Android device.

1. Data Collection

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of your chat data, prompts, or generated responses on any external servers. All inference is performed on your device's hardware. Your chat histories are stored locally using encrypted on-device storage (Android Room Database).

2. Network Usage

The Local AI application only requires internet access for the following specific purposes:

• Fetching the catalog of available open-source models from the official Hugging Face API.
• Downloading the .gguf model files directly to your device storage.

Once a model is downloaded, you can disable network access completely and the app will continue to function seamlessly offline.

3. Third-Party Services

We integrate with the Hugging Face API to provide access to open-source models. When browsing or downloading models, you are subject to the privacy policies of Hugging Face regarding API requests. We do not transmit any personal identifiers or chat data to Hugging Face.

4. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to our privacy practices that require data collection in the future (which we do not anticipate), we will update this policy and request explicit consent within the application.
